3/4 day Cruise "4 Greek Islands & Turkey with Samos" from Piraeus

We depart from Piraeus (Athens) and return to Piraeus(Athens).

The regal Olympia, your cozy floating hotel, calls first at Mykonos, an island so beautiful it will make you feel as if you’ve fallen into a dream. Stroll the picturesque alleys of Mykonos Town and, after the sun drops into the sea, enjoy its exhilarating nightlife. From Mykonos we sail overnight to arrive for breakfast in quiet Kusadasi, whose white sand beaches are a stone’s throw from the incredible excavation of the ancient city of Ephesus and its Terrace Houses (one of the world’s largest open-air museums), the House of the Virgin Mary, beautiful Sirince Village and the thrilling metropolis of Izmir. Kusadasi is also home to a fantastic harborside bazaar where you can find some of the best bargains in the Aegean.

We arrive at 16:00 at the holy island of Patmos: many believe John the Apostle wrote the Book of Revelations in a mountainside grotto on Patmos where he heard the voice of God. Further up the mountain, within the white walls of Hora, the monastery founded in his honor in 1088 stands sentinel above this verdant island. We leave Patmos and sail through another lovely Aegean evening to Heraklion, an ancient Venetian port and the fascinating capital of Crete. Greece’s largest island is a paradise of secluded beaches, hiking trails, rivers and archeological marvels, including the Minoan Palace of Knossos and the Archeological Museum in Heraklion. Whatever you do on this mythic island, we promise you’ll fall in love with Crete. And don’t leave the island without a bottle of Cretan olive oil, the world’s finest.

Enjoy a delicious lunch on the pool deck or a traditional Greek coffee at Thalassa Bar, on Deck 10, the Aegean burning blue beneath you as we sail from Heraklion for an evening on incredible Santorini. The island’s cliffs rise from the Aegean like a dream. Take a jeep safari into the interior or a cruise to Santorini’s smaller islands and volcanoes, visit the Akrotiri Village excavations, or just sit in a café in spectacular Oia Village and watch the sunset from 300 meters above the azure sea.

No one can visit the Aegean just once – it’s impossible! Even three days is enough to kick start a lifelong obsession, one we’ll be delighted to help you satisfy again and again. Here’s to your next magical cruise with us…

Piraeus port is the gateway to Athens center. Don't miss the Parthenon, the temple to Athena which looms over Athens from its perch atop the Acropolis, an eternal icon of art and civilization. Completed in 438 B.C., the temple still astounds as the flowering of Greek art and architecture. When you come down off the hill, don't miss a visit to the Ancient Agora, Syntagma Square, the Acropolis Museum and the city's historic centre, around Plaka. Ideally, sit and relax at a cafe on the foot of the hill, sample some Greek souvlaki or a frappe, take a glance back up the hill from time to time and give the goddess her due.

Welcome to Greece's most famous cosmopolitan island, a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. Whether you are an entertainment junkie out for a real good time or a visitor who wishes to explore the island’s history and tradition, Mykonos will certainly meet your expectations, as one of the most quaint destinations of this cruise. Ramble along narrow streets past white-washed houses and blue-domed churches, bougainvillea-covered walls and thread-like, step-laden footpaths leading everywhere. Set out on a journey to discover a fascinating world where glamour meets simplicity.

Patmos is one of the northernmost islands of the Dodecanese island cluster. Patmos is mentioned in the Bible Book of Revelation, written by St John the Apostle, who is believed to have lived in the Cave of the Apocalypse and was instructed by a heavenly figure to write down the contents of a vision. Thus, Patmos is a destination for Christian pilgrimage, a picturesque island that keeps evolving without losing its air of quiet tranquility. In 1999, the island's historic center Chora, along with the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian and the Cave of the Apocalypse, were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Ηere in the island’s capital and largest city, you can wander among the squares and fountains or gaze out over the azure blue waters of the Cretan Sea, as you enjoy fresh seafood in a local taverna on the promenade. Don't miss the Palace of Knossos, the largest of the preserved Minoan palatial centres, situated not more than 5 kms from Heraklion. It is the most visited archaeological site in Crete. The palace was the seat of the legendary King Minos and has been associated with famous Greek myths, like that of Daedalus and Icarus, the Labyrinth and the Minotaur. The incredible complex houses a warren of rooms decorated with columns and frescoes.

Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion dated back 3,600 years (between 1627- 1600 BC) and which created the current geological caldera: a giant central lagoon, more or less rectangular, measuring about 12 by 7 km. The effect is still explosive: 300-m-high steep cliffs on three sides rise from sea level, cubic white houses surrounded by pink bougainvilleas glow in the Aegean sun. The wild beauty, the fascinating Caldera, the gold sunset, of the Number 1 destination in Greece will steal your heart away!
